Phonex is inspired by utility informational markings, specifically telephone pole identification strips. It features contrast between straight lines and sharp corners with pinched tapers and subtle curves. Designed in mind for use in signage oriented applications, particularly warning style signs, it also has the potential for text setting at a smaller size. More weights and widths are currently being developed to offer a broader range of styles and complete the family.
